Sharp-shinned Hawk

This Sharp-shinned Hawk struck a window in mid-January and was brought to our clinic for treatment. The hawk had mild bruising and some neurological symptoms. With medication and cage rest, the hawk recovered quickly. After it was showing strong flight skills and its symptoms had resolved, the small hunter was banded and released on site.
