classroom lessons

classroom lessons

Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research is now offering classroom lessons, educating students on the many aspects of wildlife rehabilitation. Through the education of young students we can encourage future generations to take an active role in protecting wildlife and becoming stewards of our environment.

Tri-State is currently offering three programs for grades K through 8: Baby Birds and Nests, Bird Adaptations, and Feathers & Contaminants. Each program will be 30 to 45 minutes long. Each presentation will present pictures, videos, and activities to engage students. All lessons correspond with the Next Generation Science Standards and have been developed by Delaware state certified teachers. The lessons are cross-curricular and can address a variety of subjects such as Science, ELA, Social Studies, and Creative Arts.

* Please note we do not have animal ambassadors and do not bring wildlife to events.
