Capital Campaign

In 2008, Tri-State launched a capital campaign to build a Wildlife Response Annex and increase our endowment. The state-of-the-art facility will provide a dedicated space to effectively treat wildlife following oil spills and other large-scale incidents. The annex will offer a space for training responders, veterinarians, agency and industry colleagues and other wildlife partners.

About the Campaign
inside-cc-logoHumanity and wildlife share the same space, sometimes with disastrous results for wild birds. No one wants this to happen, but it does.

When wildlife is affected by oil spills, our internationally recognized oil spill team is ready to respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to rescue oiled birds, stabilize and wash them, and return them to their natural habitat.

When birds collide with windows or vehicles, become entangled in fishing line, or are orphaned, our experienced clinic staff works hard to save, rehabilitate, and release them back into the wild.

The goal of the Spreading Our Wings campaign is to raise funds to construct a Wildlife Response Annex that will allow our experienced staff and highly trained volunteers to more effectively house and care for large numbers of wildlife affected by oil spills, toxins, disease outbreaks, or other disasters. The campaign will also help increase Tri-State’s endowment to ensure we are always able to help wildlife in need.

From tenacious ruddy ducks to majestic eagles to delicate hummingbirds, Tri-State cares for them all… in your neighborhood, coast-to-coast and around the world.
