Bald Eagle 15-2390

baea2390

This adult female Bald Eagle was treated for severe injuries in our Wild Bird clinic after a suspected dispute with another eagle. The eagle had deep wounds on her face, body, and right wing. For several weeks, the eagle needed to be handfed daily until the wound on her beak healed enough to allow her to eat on her own. After weeks of medical treatment, wound care, and flight conditioning, she was ready to return to the wild and was banded and released on site. She wasted no time at all in taking to the skies!
